I’m a drawing-led illustrator with a strong grounding in accurate, accomplished drawing and over 30 years’ experience in design.

I bring a considered approach, an understanding of how illustration fits into a wider project, and the experience to work confidently alongside designers, art directors and clients.

Drawing is at the heart of my work. I’m interested in form, character and detail, and in making drawings that communicate clearly and convincingly.

My work ranges from characterful subjects and animal illustration to portraits of people who have made their mark. Each project starts with drawing and an understanding of what makes the subject distinctive.
