After a career spanning more than 30 years in major London design agencies, working in commercial interior design and creative direction, I am now an illustrator.

My approach is rooted in drawing: understanding form, proportion, character and the way things occupy space. I enjoy the challenge of making a drawing work, whether it involves a person, an animal or a more complex subject.

During my design career, I worked on projects ranging from restaurants and department stores to exhibitions and events. This gave me extensive experience of environments, materials, scale and spatial relationships, as well as interpreting briefs, understanding their requirements and communicating ideas clearly.

That background informs my approach to illustration. I understand how drawings need to work within a wider project, and the importance of working collaboratively with clients, designers and art directors.

I bring care, accuracy and a considered approach to every project, with a practical understanding of how creative projects develop and come together.
